TRVA UNDERGOES LEADERSHIP CHANGE

   During the TRVA Annual Meeting last October, Executive Director, Jan Jones announced that she would be retiring in June 2008, following 33 years with the association.  Since that time, the Executive Committee has been conducting a search for a qualified candidate to lead TRVA in the coming years.

  Following months of interviews and dedicated effort on behalf of our Executive Committee and upon approval of the Board of Directors, TRVA is pleased to announce the selection of O. Cline Jones as TRVA's new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2008.

   With a background in marketing and distribution, Cline most recently served as general manager of AAA Computer Services of Muscle Shoals, Alabama where he led their sales, service and financial services programs serving the northwest Alabama region.

   Cline brings to TRVA a knowledge of both state and federal political environments, enthusiasm, and a desire to continue the goals, objectives and visibility of the association while working to enhance communication and member relations.  He also looks forward to meeting with and continuing the close relationship that has been established with TVA, USACE, USCG, CAWA, and others.

   You are encouraged to get to know Cline.  He looks forward to meeting all the members and will visit everyone he can.  Cline will welcome your ideas and suggestions as he develops new goals and objectives for the future of TRVA.

   Cline and his wife, Tobee, are the proud parents of a five-year old daughter, Jessika.  They make their home in Athens, AL.

   Jan Jones will continue working with TRVA on a consulting basis for the next few months.

   TRVA would like to extend its appreciation to Jan for her many years of dedicated service.  TRVA has made many positive strides and has been actively involved in numerous important projects during her tenure.  We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Jan's husband Oliver for his good humor and tireless support of our activities.

   We also wish to extend a most hearty "welcome" to Cline, Tobee and Jessika as they begin a new chapter in their lives and in the life of TRVA.
